Our Story

From a small gathering of twelve families to a thriving congregation, God has been faithful every step of the way.

2000

The Beginning

Bethel Church was founded by Pastor Michael Johnson and twelve founding families in a community center. The first Sunday saw 47 attendees.

2005

Our First Building

After five years of meeting in rented spaces, the congregation purchased land and broke ground on our first permanent building at 123 Faith Avenue.

2010

Missions Launched

We sent our first missions team to East Africa and established ongoing partnerships with three local organizations serving the homeless.

2016

Growing the Family

Membership surpassed 800 and we launched a network of 12 small groups across the city, bringing the church into neighborhoods.

2026

Where We Are Today

Over 1,200 members, 25 active ministries, and a renewed vision for the next generation — Bethel continues to grow in faith and impact.
